Harvey Cave Wood (1948-1999)
In the early 1900's, the Wood family acquired land in northeast Mesa and, along with other early pioneers, cultivated the growth and development of the citrus industry in the valley. As a third generation farmer, Harvey Wood continued in the citrus farming traditions of his family.
This sculpture is dedicated to those early citrus pioneers. The scene is reminiscent of the happy times Harvey spent doing what he loved best-spending time with his children in his citrus groves.
