Street Closures

Downtown Mesa is the place to be! Sometimes our events require street closures, see below for upcoming closures. 

ROAD CLOSURE – Eastbound and Westbound Main St. – Country Club to Hobson

Eastbound and westbound Main St. will be closed to through traffic between Country Club Dr. and Hobson during the early morning hours of Friday, May 15, from 12:00 AM to 5:00 AM.

Northbound and southbound traffic will still be permitted to cross Main St.; however, all right and left turns onto Main St. will be restricted during the closure. This closure is required for City of Mesa Transportation Department streetlight maintenance along the light rail corridor.

To access Main Street businesses: Access to Downtown Mesa will be maintained. First Street and First Avenue will be open for access from Country Club Dr. or Mesa Dr. To get to Main Street Businesses from University or Broadway, please use Robson, Macdonald, Center Street, or Hibbert. These streets will connect to nearby parking with access to Main Street. Free parking can be found at any of our parking garages, surface lots, or on-street spaces. Detour Information:

  • Traffic will be directed via southbound Country Club Dr. to eastbound Broadway Rd., or
  • Northbound Horne St. to westbound University Dr.
