W. Larkin Fitch
1902-1989
W. Larkin Fitch was born in Hindsville, Arkansas in 1902. He graduated with honors from The University of Arizona and married Anna Mildred Dobson in 1925. They settled in North Mesa and farmed 700 acres. Larkin was active in The Salt River Project, First Methodist Church, Rotary, and The Masonic Lodge, serving as Arizona Grand Master in 1965. He donated the land where Fitch Park is located and where the Chicago Cubs practice throughout the year.
