The Downtown Mesa Association sends a HUGE thank you to everyone who joined us for the 2nd annual Baseball Block Party!

Downtown Mesa transformed into a baseball destination as we celebrated the opening of spring training weekend with our 2nd annual Baseball Block Party. The energy, the music, and the fan spirit made it a home run event. A BIG thank you also goes out to our amazing sponsors, Visit Mesa, Fiber First, State Farm Agent Scott Christian, Arizona Diamondbacks and the Cub’s whose partnership helped bring our vision to life. We also want to express our gratitude to our city partners, Mayor Mark Freeman & Derek Montilla of PHNX Sports for joining as our hosts and championing the love of baseball! 

We had an amazing time with our guests from near and far and also welcomed in our 1st ever lookalike contest. Attendees had the chance to see who had the best Corbin Carroll & Lourdes Gurriel Jr. looks. This contest was a great addition to the event, and we loved all of the creativity that everyone displayed.

Step Into the Game with Downtown Mesa

The Downtown Mesa Association has partnered with Lemonde Studios to bring an immersive, one-of-a-kind experience to downtown during the month of March. Located at the intersection of Macdonald & Pepper, this three-piece interactive baseball-themed installation blends art and technology, to create an experience that’s both visually stunning and engaging. This installation gives YOU center stage, making you a part of the art itself.

Mesa is home to TWO teams – The Chicago Cubs and The Athletics! Whether you have plans to catch a game at Sloan Park or Hohokam Stadium, you will be right next door to the great restaurants, breweries, and shopping in downtown!

Best of all, visit us all through the end of March and tag us in your photos using #DTMesaPlayBall for a chance to win tickets to a Diamondbacks game! TWO lucky winners will be selected on April 1st!
