Students will also receive a complimentary ticket to our Sunday Comics show at 7pm following the workshop on 2/27 at The Neighborhood Comedy Theatre.
Note to attendees: MASKS REQUIRED WHILE NOT PERFORMING. We want everyone to feel welcome at our workshop. Please wear your mask properly while not on stage. Social distancing is possible for those who would like to.
About the workshop
This workshop aims to create a safe and supportive space for those interested in trying stand up comedy.
In this workshop we’ll get out of our comfort zone, share, develop and refine our ideas and take them to the stage.
Attendees should have a creative, vulnerable, supportive and judgment free mindset to get the most out of this 2 hour intro workshop.
About Mary Upchurch
Mary Upchurch is a stand up comedian based in Phoenix, Arizona. She has been in 15 comedy festivals across the country including Big Pine Comedy Festival, SLO Comedy Festival, Limestone Comedy Festival and the World Series of Comedy. She was Arizona’s funniest Person with a Day Job in 2019 and Big Pine Comedy Festivals Best of Fest 2018. Her special on Dry Bar Comedy is set to be released in spring 2022.
