Saturday Hand-Building Pottery Workshop at Greenbelt Plants & Pottery
Every Saturday, dive into the art of pottery!
Whether you’re crafting a functional piece or something purely whimsical, the choice is yours.
Discover the art of hand-building pottery in this beginner-friendly workshop! Using rolled slabs of clay, you’ll learn to shape and assemble the sides, bottom, and handle of your very own custom piece—no pottery wheel required. This method is perfect for beginners and allows you to create a larger, functional piece in just one session.
With guided instruction, you’ll master techniques like cutting, slip and scoring, and finishing touches. Once your piece is complete, we’ll use texture tools and underglaze to color and decorate your work, adding your personal touch before it’s fired.
Class size is limited to six participants, ensuring plenty of hands-on guidance and room to get creative. Offered on select Saturdays throughout the month, this workshop is a great way to relax, explore your artistic side, and craft something uniquely yours. No experience necessary!
