Join the Mesa-East Valley Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Committee in partnership with the City of Mesa for our MLK Celebration, an annual event that brings together diverse community members, leaders, and organizations to honor the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.. On January 19, 2026—Dr. King's Day of Observance—we aim to serve as a platform to continue creating bridges of understanding among individuals and communities.
The 2026 Theme: Mission Possible: Building Bridges...Building Community emphasizes our belief that Dr. King’s vision of the Beloved Community is an achievable reality that requires collective action. This theme aligns directly with The King Center's 2026 strategic theme, "Mission Possible II: Building Community, Uniting a Nation the Nonviolent Way," as we work together to sow the seeds of unity, growth, and collaboration right here in the East Valley. By working together, we can create a more inclusive and thriving community, where everyone has the opportunity to flourish.
