Get ready to immerse yourself in the mystical world of Dryad Dreams, where nature comes alive with enchanting surprises around every corner. You will be guided through the process of creating an 11" x 14", ready to frame collage to keep or to gift.
Dryads originated in ancient Greek mythology as female tree nymphs, often associated with oak trees, who were guardians of the forest. Their history includes their creation as the daughters of the Titans Ouranos and Gaia in some myths, their role in the nurturing of Zeus, and their ultimate fate of perishing if their tree is harmed. The concept of dryads has been adapted throughout history, appearing in Roman mythology as Querquetulanae and later being featured in classical and modern literature and games as spirits intricately linked to nature. You will have different focal Dryad characters to choose from, as well as accompanying features in which to create your Dryad Dream-scape. A fun little 3-D element will add just the right touch of whimsey. All supplies included. All levels of experience welcome but limited to ages over 15.
