The Downtown Mesa BBQ Classic is a new annual competition in partnership with CRAFT Q to bring tantalizing aromas, sizzling grills, and mouthwatering flavors to Downtown Mesa. Join us as skilled pitmasters from near and far gather to showcase their barbecuing expertise, presenting perfectly seasoned ribs, tender briskets, and artisanal sauces. It’s a true celebration of culinary artistry where spectators and judges embark on a smoky and savory journey, indulging in each delectable creation.

Alongside the competition, on November 3rd from 5pm-9pm & November 4th from 9am-4pm, the celebration features the best of Downtown Mesa breweries, plenty of delicious local barbecue, family and kids’ activities, a variety of craftsmen, and the very best in live music.

Admission is free. Food trucks are available to taste the great BBQ or you can join the fun and vote for your favorite by purchasing a tasting ticket.

Tasting tickets can be redeemed at participating BBQ competitors and local food trucks for up to 10 2oz samples per passport. Take part in the judging for People's Choice and decide for yourself which competitor delivers the best BBQ. Presale tickets are on sale now for $20 - redeemable for up to 10 tastings.
