Pianist Awadagin Pratt is acclaimed for his musical insight and intensely involving performances in recital and with symphony orchestras. The Maxwell Quartet, one of the world's top young chamber ensembles, is equally at home in the folk music of their native Scotland, which will be featured at this concert. The five prize-winning artists will join forces in "Clouds," a piano quintet by Jamaican-born Eleanor Alberga, one of the most prominent Black female composers in the world. Haydn and Dvorák will round out this irresistible program.
