Details
Build your own robot with LED eyes that light up and change color when you touch his heart. This workshop serves as a way to teach how to design projects for the laser cutter. You will combine and modify designs for laser cutting your own customized robot with a copper circuit. We will start with the basics of using the Inkscape software for vector editing. Then help you cut your robot on the laser cutter. Finally adding copper tape and soldering it to make it light up! No experience is required.
This is a 4 hour workshop please plan to be there for all of it. The first half is Inkscape basics. Second half is building and soldering the robots.
This is a great way to get introduced to the laser cutter, vinyl cutter, soldering iron, and Inkscape design software.
This class is great for adults who want to learn. Kids too if they can use a computer mouse. Anyone under 18 must have an adult with them.
HeatSync Labs is a non-profit hackerspace where you can make stuff. Come check it out and learn to make things.
