Looking for a fun and social Mahjong experience in the Greater Phoenix area? Join us for Mahjong Open Play at The Boutique in Downtown Mesa! It's the perfect way to practice your game, meet fellow Mahjong players, and enjoy a relaxed day or night out.

Designed for all skill levels, Open Play is ideal for anyone who already knows the basics of Mahjong or has attended a beginner 101 or 102 lesson, and wants more hands-on experience. There’s no formal instruction—just a welcoming space to play, connect, and have fun.

Whether you’re coming from Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler, Queen Creek, Scottsdale, Tempe, Phoenix, or beyond - this is your go-to spot for a casual and social Mahjong experience.

Enjoy a cozy, boutique atmosphere with snacks, drinks, and {almost} everything you need to play. Just bring your NMJL card, the girls and you're all set! Come solo or bring a friend—either way, you’ll feel right at home.

Product Details:
- Open to all skill levels (basic Mahjong knowledge recommended)
- No formal lesson — self-guided gameplay
- Mahjong tables, tiles, mat, racks/pushers, shufflers, dice provided
- Please bring your NMJL card - NMJL cards for purchase, *while supplies last!
- Perfect for a girls’ day/night, casual practice, or social outing

How It Works:
- $5 per person (includes 2 hours of Open Play)
- Additional play available, $5/pp, per hour - (subject to availability)
- Please reserve your seat/table online in advance

- Guest who have not arrived within 5 minutes of the scheduled start time may have their seat released to a player on the waitlist

- Snacks and drinks are not included during FREE Open Play - Please BYO snacks & drinks for FREE Open Play - TONS of amazing food places located around us!
- Snacks and drinks included with 3-Hour, $20 THEMED Open Play sessions, only.

Good to Know:
- Limited tables — spots fill quickly
- Tables are filled, first come, first serve!
- If it's just you, we will help you find a full table!
- Please Note: Open play is designed to be a social experience and player counts may vary. If a full table (3–4 players) cannot be formed, we may offer Siamese Mahjong. If alternative play is unavailable, you'll be notified 24–48 hours in advance and receive a credit to your account for rebooking.

- Arrive early, ready to play, and have loads of fun!
